Privacy Policy

Your camera

When you press Start Playing, your browser asks for permission to use your camera. If you allow it, the video is used only to track your hands. Hand tracking runs on your own device with a hand model from Google’s MediaPipe that is loaded into your browser.

Your camera video is never uploaded, sent to us or stored on a server. We do not see it, and we do not keep it. You can refuse or withdraw camera permission at any time in your browser settings. The keyboard and on-screen pads work without a camera.

Recordings

If you use the Record button, the clip is created in your browser. You can preview it and then download or discard it. Recordings are not uploaded to us. Tips for making clips are in the recording guide. If you share a recording somewhere else, that service’s own policies apply.

Settings stored in your browser

Gestune saves your settings, such as response speed, swap hands, mirror video and sound options, and a note that you have seen the tutorial, in your browser’s local storage. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

No accounts

There is no sign-up and no account. We do not ask for your name, email address or password, and we do not store any content you create on our servers.

Analytics

To understand how the site is used and to improve it, we may use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. These services may set cookies or similar technologies and collect usage information such as pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and how you interact with the page. This information is used in aggregate for usage statistics.

Advertising

To keep Gestune free, we may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads and to measure them, and in some cases to personalize ads based on your visits to this and other websites. See the Google Privacy Policy for how Google uses this information and what choices you have.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare and served over HTTPS. As with any website, the hosting provider processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the pages to your browser and keep the service secure.

Children

Gestune is a general audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because there are no accounts and camera video stays on the device, the tool itself does not ask anyone for personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site changes, for example when we add a feature or a new service. The date at the bottom of this page shows when it was last updated. Please check back from time to time.
